About Cardgames.io

Cardgames.io is a free browser site for card and table games, run by a small independent team of people who play them. We are not a big company, and we do not pretend to be one. We are a handful of game fans who wanted a place where you could open a tab and start a round of hearts, spades, rummy, chess, checkers or dominoes without a sign-up screen in the way.

What you will find here

Every game on the site plays in the browser, with no account and no download. You pick a game, the table loads, and you play. The rules are the familiar ones, so someone who knows hearts or spades can sit down and follow along without a tutorial.

How games are chosen

We test each game on a computer and on a phone before it goes up. If the cards are hard to read on a small screen or the buttons are awkward to tap, it does not make the cut. We also keep the selection kid-friendly: card and table games that work at a family game night, nothing that needs a content warning. The list stays short on purpose. A game earns its place by being clear and playable, not by being new.

Rights stay with the developers

The people who build these games keep the rights to their work. We host and present the games; we do not take ownership of them. That arrangement lets independent developers put their games in front of players and keep control of what they made.
